About Attorney Shikha Parikh

 

Shikha Parikh is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland and the Commonwealth of Virginia.   She has worked extensively in foreclosure prevention law for several years and is extremely knowledgable in developing legal strategies to help owners keep their home, or smoothly transition out of their home with the least repercussions possible.  Mrs. Parikh regularly litigates against lenders in both non-judicial and judicial foreclosure jurisdictions, all with the purpose of negotiating an affordable, long-term resolution for the client.  Mrs. Parikh regularly advises clients on the legal, practical, and economic aspects of their situation, and ensures each client's clients goals are protected.

 

Mrs. Parikh graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, with a Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

 

Mrs. Parikh received her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law. ​ ​ During law school, Mrs. Parikh clerked for the Honorable Louise G. Scrivener of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland, and she also interned for the Honorable Clayton Greene, Jr. of the Court of Appeals of Maryland. Mrs. Parikh held the position of Editor-in-Chief of "The Authority," a publication covering developments in housing law. ​ After graduating from law school, Mrs. Parikh clerked for the Honorable Marjorie L. Clagett of the Circuit Court for Calvert County, Maryland.

 

She subsequently worked in general practice, and worked exclusively in foreclosure defense for two years. ​

 

Mrs. Parikh also teaches civil rights courses at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and has been a speaker at various Maryland State Bar Association events, including the Maryland Solo and Small Firm Conference and the "Hanging Out a Shingle" conference.
